Olivia Almeida joined Prafulta in 2023 as a Counselor for the Emotional Development and Career Guidance (EDCG) initiative. Olivia has done her Masters in clinical psychology, Advanced Diploma in Counseling and Outreach and Certificate in Queer Affirmative Counseling Process She holds a 2 year experience working with the clinical population at Jagjivan Ram Hospital of the Western Railway, where she was awarded for her exceptional service during Covid. She then ventured into working with children. Alongwith working at Prafulta for their EDCG initiative, works as a school counselor at Canossa High School, Vasai. She believes in prevention better than cure, therefore is actively involved in conducting various mental health related workshops for all age groups. She is also involved with the Sankranti project at Prafulta, working with the basti girls at Subhash Nagar.

Olivia’s expertise is in the area of conducting workshops as well as providing individual therapy sessions using an eclectic approach majorly to children, adolescents and young adults.
