Dr. Prajakta Patkar Joined Prafulta in June 2021 as a Consultant Psychiatrist. She has a MBBS, M.D. Psychiatry, Post Doctoral Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, Certified as Play therapist She is primarily specialised with an M.D. in Psychiatry. Thereafter, she has trained in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry from the prestigious Nair Hospital, Mumbai and worked as an Assistant Professor there. She is extremely passionate about working with Children and Adolescents and is also dedicated to teaching and training the postgraduate students in psychiatry. The understanding that not everyone chooses and wants to continue only medication for a long time prompts her not only to prescribe medications but also personally do therapy which she is trained in. Her belief in making mental health care available to all motivates her to be actively involved with many non-profit organisations working in the benefit of people with mental illness. She has also worked with the Berkshire NHS in the UK.

Her expertise involves Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Neurodevelopmental disorders, Anxiety disorders, Mood Disorders, Stress management Personality disorders and handling relationship issues.
